evo – the evolution of food

Foundation

The evo foundation

A number of years ago, when personal manager for superstar Shania Twain, Shania and I had a lengthy conversation about the real life challenges many many children face at a very early age.

Subsequently I have had numerous similar discussions with many others; from all walks of life. These challenges are all too real, for too many.

Going to school without food or proper clothes. The daily pain of being “centered out” by the other children. The feeling that society had simply categorized them as “under privileged.”

No child wants to feel that he or she is somehow different to his or her classmates—stigmatized.

Even with the very best of intentions we (society) often fail to realize the negative impact of our “good deeds” on the very people we are trying to help.

We should ask ourselves, why does a child protect the parent who abuses? Why do children say they are “fine” when they are not? Why do they say they are not hungry, when they are?

Every child needs a real sense of worth, a sense potentially damaged by “categorizing.”

Our intent is to build a “foundation” whereby 5 cents from the sale of each evo product will be used to participate in or create programs that nourish that vital childhood need—self-worth. Programs that offer “quiet” support to all children, regardless of social status, race, creed or color.

Programs that offer children the opportunity to realize their full potential.

Programs that present children with the opportunity to evolve into responsible, accountable, caring adults. This truly will represent change for the better.

evo believes CHILDREN ARE CHILDREN all over the world and every single one deserves a fair chance at a fulfilling childhood.

Please watch for more details in the coming months. Perhaps you can see yourself participating, financially or in some other way.

Perhaps you, your organization, your company, could partner with evo to chase this dream together.
